Almost Grasped, But Not Quite

Finally! Another get-together before we head off to the other dimensions of our lives… The Vigan gang (Anj, Kel, Candice, moi and Ivee) and Paul celebrated Kel’s birthday (about a week late actually) by doing three things.

VIDEOKE.MOVIE.COFFEE.

Kel arrived late. Kinonsensya muna namin siya that he arrived much, much later than Candice (who is our perennial latecomer… so that means he’s super late!) but actually, he didn’t know that Candice arrived first. We set a meeting time two hours earlier so that we can finish his gift. Effort kung effort kasi yung regalo. Hope you liked it, Kel! Haha! (especially the one with the photo of you-know-who). Anyway, since si Kel ang nagyaya, siya rin ang kumanta (pero syempre, Candice and Anj can’t help but sing a few tunes too. Kami ni Ivee, wala, quiet na lang kami. Haha!). And guess what he sang?

I LOVE YOU GOODBYE.

Okay fine, so we knew why even before he sang the song noh. Ano kame, manhid at hindi updated?! Haha! But then, iba pala ang nasa isip naming rason sa rason niyang ‘move on na tayo people!’ Anyway, speaking of moving on… may tanong si Candice about how a person can move on or something to that effect. And of course, may brilliant answer si Ivee (way to go!;). Something like, you can’t really move on. Nasasanay ka lang na hindi mo na siya kasama. (Okay, please tell me I got all this correct. Ilalagay pa man din ito sa CONFESSIONS, CONFESSIONS.) And ang sabi naman ni Kel (hours later…) na siya raw ang epitome ng ‘moving on’. ANO RAW?!? And then may itatanong sana ako but chose not to. He’ll probably tell us about it one of these days.

So after belting out some songs and drinking juice (thanks Kel!), nood na lang kame ng sine. Dapat 40-Year Old Virgin pero hindi na yata siya showing so we ended up watching Wallace and Gromit. In fairness, sobrang aliw! Pero parang ang ikli (o baka naman dahil sa hindi namin nasimulan dahil mas nagconcentrate kami sa aming nachos, fries, at drinks?!). And then we went for coffee after standing right in front of Walter-Mart’s entrance thinking if we really wanted to go home already or not. (Kasi sa simula pa lang, I’ve already noticed na parang walang nagyayayang magkape which was so weird and so not us!) Anyway, ayun, napatagal ang kuwentuhan sa Starbucks. Nakabuo si Kel ng mga bagong words like house-hopping and religion-hopping (ask him the definitions). Tumayo si Candice ng maraming beses for sugar, magazines and water. I rattled off about my out-of-Manila experiences and Anj finished it off with a revelation (na hindi naman revelation sa akin kasi I’ve known it for one year already). Shocked si kel at Candice. Pero they already have an idea about it. Naghihintay na lang ng confession. Hahaha!

SO MUCH CAN HAPPEN IN ONE DAY… and they can all be interesting, fun, and great! Love you guys! ‘TIL NEXT TIME…

CATH: Thanks sa effort about the favor I’m asking you. So far, okay lang kahit wala pang reply. Hindi ko pa naman kailangan ngayon. Anyway, I freaked out sa text na yon. I’m sorry pero why is he texting me?! Nyek, anong meron?! Anong gagawin natin sa kanya? We’ll come up with something (or better yet, make up your decision girl! Ano na ba?!). Hindi ko alam why we’re still talking about this. Haha! GOOD LUCK! At siyempre TAKE CARE dahil kung anu-anong happenings dyan sa inyo. HI RENCE!

THE ART OF STARTING CRAFTS AND HATING THE FINISHING TOUCHES.

I loooove crafts! But I have this awful habit of not finishing my creative projects. I’m so eager and excited at first but the ‘passion’ wears off easily (so hindi talaga siya passion). Give me one month and the materials are off to my storage cabinet and I’m off to another craft. I started with the sketches then candles then beads then perfumes and now, scrapbooks! Actually, not the ordinary scrapbook thing. More of altered things and digital scrapbooking. I’m just starting so don’t ask me yet.

I’m a beginner in all these crafts.

I was inspired by the ’scrapbook’ books in Powerbooks Live! They’re so beautiful. Parang andaling gawin. But it’s easier seeing and reading about it than doing it. Yeah, oh well… start small. Anyway, I can’t possibly afford those books, which by the way cost more than a thousand pesos. I’ll kill myself if ever I give in to the power of my OC self. Noooo!!!

Anyway, I found myself in Powerbooks Live! this week four times! Hay, the advantages of having all the time in the world. I didn’t even realize that I was on the place for nearly half of my Wednesday! Yup, I read (and finished) Sidney Sheldon’s The Sky Is Falling, two scrapbooking books, and a book on the mysteries of the world. Figures why i was feeling dizzy yesterday.

That dizziness and some other sickness, they all caught up on me last and this week. I have colds and I super hate it! My left ear… feels like I travelled to Baguio without chewing on some gum or not talking all throughout the trip. And so I can hear myself really well when thinking aloud and then I can’t hear myself when talking aloud. Argh!!!

By the way, no more numerous EDSA trips for me. I’m staying put here in Makati ( a sigh of relief…).

MESSAGES, MESSAGES

Na sana eh mabasa nila…

KEL: Happy birthday! Belated na rito sa blog but I greeted you naman last Oct. 6. and nagreply ka… ng message mo para kay Anj na mukhang you ’sent to many’. Haha! Looking forward to whatever there will be on Saturday! ;)

MAUI: Sorry, I haven’t visited you and Andrei pero sobrang miss ko na kayo. Laki na ni Andrei noh?! Hay, ang saya! Good luck sa finals and enjoy your sembreak. Are you making your thesis on your vacation time? Oh no! Pero looking forward din ako sa 1st birthday ni Andrei. ;)

JANICE: Oh my! FINALLY! You’re here sa friendster na. I’ve been like pestering you for months (o years na ba?!) na to sign up and you’re busy pero now, you are here! This is so great! And yeah, you didn’t tell me about him pero okay lang. Sana magkita tayo one of these days. Sama mo siya. Good luck with the kids. ;)
